What the work is
You mentor an academic author through their own research: design, methodology, analysis, positioning, and preparation for peer review. You review their drafts, ask the hard questions, and teach them what a reviewer will demand.
You are paid for expertise and time — not for a byline you'll never hold and shouldn't want.
What the work is not
You will not be asked to write a manuscript for someone else to publish under their name. You will not be asked to fabricate data, manufacture citations, or produce work that misrepresents its origin.
If you're looking for ghostwriting work, we are not the agency for you — and we'd rather say that plainly than waste your time.
How collaboration works
Application and review
You apply with your field, methods and publication record. A person reviews it and verifies your expertise before your account is approved. Until then you cannot sign in — and you will hear from us either way.
Opportunities
We describe projects matching your expertise — without revealing who the client is. You decide whether to propose.
Your proposal
You set out your approach, relevant experience, timeline and fee. You also make an explicit integrity declaration: that you will mentor rather than ghostwrite.
Assignment
If the author accepts, we open the project with a clear brief, milestones and deadlines.
Mediated work
All communication runs through Authiq. You never learn the client's identity; they never learn yours. This protects you as much as them.
Review and payment
We review your work before it reaches the author. Payment follows the agreed terms once milestones are met.
